There is something so serene yet overtly energetic about French designers. They have a flair and a style that is not only unique to their culture but undeniably individual and eclectic to each artist. This years CFDA Winner is a true testament to this individuality. Sophie Theallet grew up on the South West Coast of France and has been a designer and a dreamer from the time she was a very young girl. At 8 years old she started making clothes to dress her dolls and Barbie's and only 10 years later at the tender age of 18, she moved herself to Paris to attend the prestigious design school, Studio Bercot. Since that time, Sophie has worked with some of fashions greatest, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Azzedine Alaia and is now gaining international recognition and admiration with her own collection. Her style... "Bohemian luxe seen through the eyes of a sophisticated couturier...her clothes have a strong French accent, but exude freedom of spirit that transcends all borders." J'adore le francais et Sophie!!
