Pop Pop Bang Bang Project

Pop Pop Bang Bang is a collaborative between photographer Thomas Brown creative director Anna Burns which visually projects the abstract relationship, and use, of film, photography and pyro. Set to three different backgrounds, the conceptual project is intriguing, engaging and one-of-a-kind. The duo of artists created a wall of umbrellas displaying elements of the classic B-Movie and located them within three of London's most traditional locations.

Jin Kay - Parsons Designer of the Year

The incredibly talented Jin Kay has now been placed among some of fashion's finest after receiving the coveted womenswear award for Parsons, The New School for Design. The pre-fall, women's ready-to-wear, collection was inspired by the dynamic and relationship between Eastern and Western concepts. Kay was inspired by the 1930's book, In Praise of Shadows, and the collection mirrors the ideas brought forth of the deep and intricate exploration of beauty from one side of the world to the other. Kay has acquired an impressive roster of awards and honors since moving to New York in 2005 and starting his career in fashion. This latest collection is a visual testament to that talent and the potential that has only begun take form.

Giles Spring 2013

LOVING this collection by Giles for Spring 2013. Leather was seen on numerous runways in the last few months in all different uses and silhouettes. The Giles collection displayed a beautiful use of laser cut leather in delicate yet statement making patterns. Many pieces also reflect back to Deacon's inspirations from pop artist Allen Jones. Cartoon proportions paired with curve hugging silhouettes and strong graphic lines kept the strength of contrast throughout the whole collection.

Off Duty, On Target

The runways are magic, but the street is something even more enduring. Runway to real life is an opportunity for some of the biggest models and editors to take what they have learnt and inject a healthy dose of individual style into it. Two of my favorites to watch are Korean-American model, Soo Joo Park and Elle China Senior Fashion Editor, Leaf Greener. Both effortlessly transcend the realms of casual dressing to create a visible art form that speaks to their own true colors.
