Unwerth Unravelled...









In the seemingly premeditated fashion of many models of the day, Ellen von Unwerth began her career on the runway, but has found real success on the other side. Born in Germany in 1945, Unwerth worked for over 10 years as a high fashion model, dabbled in the world of directing for short films and music videos, and now shoots for the likes of Vogue, Vanity Fair and Interview Magazine, to name but a few. Her signature style has settled into a glamorous, while somewhat erotic interpretation of the female form. "Women are not just to be admired, they are to be enjoyed."
