Unwerth Unravelled...









In the seemingly premeditated fashion of many models of the day, Ellen von Unwerth began her career on the runway, but has found real success on the other side. Born in Germany in 1945, Unwerth worked for over 10 years as a high fashion model, dabbled in the world of directing for short films and music videos, and now shoots for the likes of Vogue, Vanity Fair and Interview Magazine, to name but a few. Since the 2006 acquiring of Helmut Lang, by the prestigious PRADA Group, their collections have continued to showcase elements of design and craftsmanship in every piece they create. The Fall 2010 collection may appear minimal in color, but what it lacks in one department it makes up for in another.
