Though we may have experienced some what of a lack of emphasis and excess in the past year of "recessionista" fashion, layers and lavish are once again hitting the runway...at least as far as accessories are concerned. Emilio Pucci, Roberto Cavalli, Bottega Veneta and Marc Jacobs all hit the mark and the Spring 2010 trend is bigger and bolder then ever. What better way to cut back in spending on extravagant outfits then to invest in statement making and timeless accessories. The combination of color, size and texture is the ideal way to create distinct focal points to pull together any look or style. Everything is overly exaggerated and stacked and layered to extremes. Big earrings, clustered bangels, chunky necklaces and overzealous headpieces are even bigger now then the 80's could have ever fathomed...
You definitely hit the mark when you said that timeless accessories are in. People have less money to spend, and they'll spend it on things that they know they'll be able to wear for a while.
