Happy Tree Hugging...

I saw pictures of this Loft in Sao Paulo during my daily cruise through Trendland.com (yes it is a bit of an addiction, but there could be worse things, right?) I fell in love with every shot, dreaming of stretching myself out on the pillow soft chase, filling a wall of wood with books and more books, staring out through floor to ceiling windows at the wonder that is nature... a wonder that has clearly inspired the interior concept. The next best thing to being outside is clearly bringing the elements in. The design made me think of all things wood, so below the inspiration and a couple "modern" natural designs...

Words...

As a writer I am a lover of words. Though in the grand scheme of things, words are no more than simple sounds and syllables, linked together long before we ourselves could ever speak, in an attempt to define and communicate human connection. They do little justice to the intensity that comes with "feeling", yet they have created a gateway into the stories that shape our imagination and let our minds and hearts soar, aiding us on our journey of exploration. I think words are used to their greatest potential through poetry. I once read that "Great poetry happens when the mind is looking the other way and the words fall from the sky to shape a moment that would normally be untranslatable." This quote alone, with it's ability to send tremors through my spine, is what great words are made of...
